A Connect Session by ourppls × Akanji Wellness Studios CIC


This first gathering in our new workshop series is about connection, reflection, and showing up for one another, simply and intentionally.


Bring a Book for Your Brotha invites men living with sickle cell, chronic pain and/or hidden disabilities, into a shared space to exchange stories, knowledge, and care through conversation and community. By bringing a book that has moved, challenged or supported you, we hope to open up gentle pathways for one-to-one dialogue and collective reflection, creating room for honesty and mutual support.


The session will blend light-hearted energy with deeper conversation: from icebreakers that ease us in, to book swapping, music, and a facilitated group discussion exploring how we can better support one another on our journeys.. and also what gets in the way.
