Announcing ourppls’ 12-Week Creative Wellbeing Programme
What if creativity wasn’t something we had to chase, prove, or optimise - but something we could return to? At ourppls, we’ve been sitting with this question for a while. Again and again, in our conversations with creatives, the same themes surface: exhaustion, self-doubt, creative blocks, and a quiet longing to reconnect with creativity as a source of care rather than pressure.
It’s from this place that we’re bringing back ourppls’ 12-week Artist’s Way Programme - a free, community-based journey through Julia Cameron’s The Artist’s Way. Building on from last year's positive feedback, we felt it was only right to offer this at the start of the season as a way to mark a creative new year. One rooted in wellbeing, reflection, and creative overflow.
The Artist’s Way is not a course about becoming “better” at creativity. It’s a guided process of creative recovery of rebuilding trust with your inner artist, softening perfectionism, and learning to listen again.
For many, creativity has become tangled up with productivity, output, and expectation. This programme is an invitation to step out of that narrative and into something slower, kinder, and more sustainable.
What the programme looks like:
Over 12 weeks, participants will move through The Artist’s Way together, supported by structure and community.
The programme includes:
Weekly online reading & reflection sessions
Saturdays at 11am GMT, from 7 February to 25 April
A daily journaling practice (Morning Pages)
Weekly creative self-nurturing practices (Artist Dates)
A WhatsApp community space for reflection, support, and connection
A collective zine, reflecting on creativity as a form of care
The programme is free to join, but asks for genuine commitment and participation throughout the 12 weeks.
This is not a skills-based workshop, critique space, or productivity programme. It’s a supportive incubator for those interested in creativity as a practice of care, listening, and renewal.
So....Is this programme for you?
This programme may be supportive if you:
Feel creatively blocked, tired, or disconnected
Want to reconnect with creativity in a gentle, non-performative way
Are open to journaling, reflection, and weekly creative practices
Value community support without comparison or pressure
You don’t need to identify as an “artist,” and no prior experience with The Artist’s Way is required.
Join our information webinar
If you’re curious and would like to learn more before applying, we’re hosting a free information webinar on 21st January, 7PM (GMT) where we’ll talk through the programme, share our intentions, and answer any questions you might have. This is a low-pressure space so you’re welcome to simply listen and sense whether this journey feels right for you.
Ready to apply?
If you already feel a quiet yes, applications are now open. We are accepting applications from all skill levels, ages, races, and geographical locations. We welcome anyone interested in using creativity as a pathway to care.
Creativity doesn’t need to be forced back into our lives. Often, it’s waiting patiently for us to make space, offer attention, and begin again.
If this feels like the season to do that, we’d love to walk alongside you.
with love,
ourppls
A community of creatives who care
