Social Media Manager & Content Creator

Part Time (2 - 3 days per week)

At ourppls, the Social Media Manager & Content Creator leads the creation and management of digital content across our native and client accounts, bringing stories to life while maintaining a cohesive, values-driven approach. This role sits at the intersection of creativity, strategy, and social impact, translating the missions of charities, social enterprises, and community organisations into engaging, culturally informed content.

This role is ideal for a multi-skilled creative who can research, conceptualise, produce, schedule and evaluate content across multiple clients, ensuring every post aligns with the client’s goals and ourppls’ mission.

Core Responsibilities

Client Content Creation & Storytelling

  • Create original content for multiple client accounts, including social media posts, graphics, photography, and short-form video

  • Edit content to ensure quality, brand consistency, and impact

  • Translate client objectives and social impact projects into authentic, audience-focused storytelling

Strategy & Concept Development

  • Collaborate with the Communications Strategist to plan campaigns and content calendars for clients

  • Research client audiences, sector trends, and social impact topics to inform content ideas

  • Develop creative concepts that resonate with communities and elevate client visibility

​

Social Media Management

  • Schedule and publish content across client platforms

  • Engage with followers, respond to comments, and maintain a positive community presence

  • Monitor analytics and provide insights to improve engagement and reach

​

Collaboration & Support

  • Work closely with client teams, creatives, and project managers

  • Support clients’ digital campaigns, launches, and special projects​

Key Skills and Experience

  • Strong creative skills: graphic design, photography, videography, and editing

  • Experience managing multiple social media accounts for brands or organisations

  • Excellent storytelling and copywriting skills

  • Passion for community, culture, and social impact projects

  • Highly organised, self-motivated and able to manage multiple clients simultaneously using initiative and efficiency
